Upholstery completed!

This is the final product of my coffee-bean bag chair upholstery job. ...what a mouthful. Anyway... the entire bag was used in this process- one side for the top, the other for the seat. They do not look like pieces of the same bag because the lettering is so dark and graphic looking. To fix this, I might go back and outline some of the lion/crest design with a sharpie to give it a little more definition.
The seat cushion actually has a seam going through the middle of it, so that I could have all four of the scroll-leafy designs on the corners of the seat. You can hardly even tell it's there unless you are looking for it.
I love the way it turned out, and I may do a cushion on my other dark wood chair, so they match.

  1. Terrific project! Love, love it! I'm going to foloow your blog. Thanks for posting!

  2. love this!! the chair is wonderful on its own but your ideas made it beautiful.

I've been looking at home magazines for a long time... not really reading, mostly ripping. I can tell you if a magazine is really good by the number of pages I rip out. These pages have some element that inspires me to create something else or re-purpose an item I already have; re-decorate or redefine a space.
These posts
are the records of the wheels turning in my head, the realization of my ideas.

Do you need an idea? Ask me and I will do my best...
