Studio Lockdown

I have been in my studio for the past week trying to build up my painting portfolio. Next weekend I am going to a very important portfolio review in Los Angeles and want to bring my very best.
Painting, painting, painting....
Some days are productive and some days I just keep painting the same thing and wiping it until I get it right.
As a little distraction from the stress.... here are some photos that come from my "inspiration" folder. These are very much in-keeping with the piece I am working on, a portrait of the deity Kali (sneak peek at blahblahblog).

I've been looking at home magazines for a long time... not really reading, mostly ripping. I can tell you if a magazine is really good by the number of pages I rip out. These pages have some element that inspires me to create something else or re-purpose an item I already have; re-decorate or redefine a space.
These posts
are the records of the wheels turning in my head, the realization of my ideas.

Do you need an idea? Ask me and I will do my best...
